Vice President of Gospel Outreach and Mission Grants

The Vice President of Gospel Outreach and Mission Grants coordinates the mission grant process and follows the progress of ministries supported by district mite offerings.

• Chairs the Mission Grants Committee and selects three committee members with the President’s approval.
• Receives and acknowledges grant proposals by the October 31 deadline.
• Coordinates proposal review and prepares grant summaries for committee and Board of Directors consideration.
• Notifies applicants whether their proposals have been selected for the convention ballot.
• Presents proposed grants impartially at the district convention and communicates voting results to applicants.
• Coordinates funding with the Treasurer according to approved proposals and the funding order established by the convention.
• Maintains contact with grant recipients and monitors each grant until completion, including requirements for timely use of funds.
• Serves on the Executive Committee and Board of Directors and reports on grant progress.
• Prepares convention reports, contributes to The Clarion when requested, and fulfills presidential duties when needed as provided in the bylaws.
• Maintains grant records and assists her successor with the transition.
